This is a list of non-human creatures from Wonderland. The creatures here have many behaviors as well as accents.
Caucus

AEdit

  • [[1]]: Althought Alice is not a creature she is the main character of the book. She is the human who has all the adventures
  • Ape: An ape is part of the party that appears on shore after falling into Alice's pool of tears (AAIW)

BEdit

  • Bandersnatch: Though unseen, it is described as a swift-moving creature that can extend its neck and is frumious; a combination of fuming and furious in the poem "Jabberwocky" (TTLG). One Bandersnatch attacks the Banker (THOTS). In the 2010 film, it makes its appearance as a round white hyena-like creature with black spots, a bulldog-like face, and a long tail. It works for the The Red Queen, but after Alice gives back its eye (which was lost from the dormouse in the mushroom garden), it teams up with Alice and fights for the White Queen.
  • Bee: Though no bees are seen, Alice mistakens elephants for bees due to the distance (TTLG).
  • Beetle: A beetle is one of the passengers in the train carriage (TTLG).
  • Borogrove: A borogrove is a thin shabby-looking bird with its feathers all out;something like a live mop, however the original following said that it was an extinct parrot that had no wings, beaks turned up, make their nests under sundials and lived on veal. In the poem "Jabberwocky", the poem says that all the borogroves were mimsy, a combination of miserable and flimsy (TTLG).

  • Cat: One known as the Cheshire Cat is a grinning cat that can turn invisible. He gives Alice amusing, yet perplexing advice. He later appears at the Queen's croquet ground to comfort Alice. He disappears later on. There is also a cat named Dinah which is Alice's pet and lives outside of Wonderland. Her offspring;Kitty and Snowdrop also live outside of Wonderland (AAIW).
  • Caterpillar: A blue caterpillar that smokes a hookah appears when Alice arrives at his mushroom while she is small. He doesn't get along with Alice as he is ill-tempered. When Alice says that 3 inches is a wretched height, he says he believes it to a good height since he is 3 inches. He also tells Alice that one side of the mushroom will make her grow and the other side will make her shrink (AAIW).
  • Cockatiel: A cockatiel is part of the party that appears on shore after falling into Alice's pool of tears (AAIW).
  • Cow: yes there was!
  • Crab: An old crab and his daughter are part of the party that appear on shore after falling into Alice's pool of tears. The Gryphon's lines also point out that another crab is the Classic's master at school in the sea (AAIW). The sheep tells Alice about crabs and feathers (TTLG).
  • Crocodile: In the poem "How Doth the Little Crocodile", it tells that a crocodile poured the waters from the nile river on his golden scales. Then it smiles so that fish can get in his mouth so that it can eat them, showing that it was clever (AAIW).

DEdit

  • Deer: A fawn walks with Alice until it realizes that it is a fawn and Alice a human girl, then it runs off (TTLG).
  • Dodo: A dodo with a cane is part of the party that appears on shore after falling into Alice's pool of tears. Since everyone is wet, he announces a caucus race to get everyone dried off (AAIW). In the 2010 film, his species have blue feathers with smaller tail feathers and yellow beaks.
  • Dog: A puppy almost runs Alice over since she is very small and wants to play with her, but Alice throws a stick many times as the puppy chases it back and forth until it gets tired (AAIW).
  • Dormouse: A sleepy dormouse is a guest at the Mad Hatter's tea party along with the March Hare. He has a fondness for treacle (AAIW). In the 2010 film, that same dormouse is now a female, less sleepy, has white fur, and is a swordswoman. Her name is Mallymkun.

  • Eagle: An eaglet is part of the party that appears on shore after falling into Alice's pool of tears. She replies that he doesn't understand half of the Dodo's words, and believes that the Dodo himself doesn't understand them either (AAIW).
  • Eel: When Alice tries to recite the poem "You Are Old, Father William", one of the verses tell that William's son asks his father how he can balance an eel on his nose even when he is so old. The Mock Turtle tells Alice that the drawling master at his school is an old conger eel (AAIW).
  • Elephant: Alice realized there were elephants after mistaking them for bees due to the distance (TTLG).

  • Ferret: A ferret is one of the twelve jurors in the Queen's court (AAIW).
  • Flamingo: Flamingos are used as mallets at the Queen's croquet ground. They usually look at the players including Alice and run or fly from them (AAIW). In the 2010 film, they live in the mushroom garden where they got captured by Red Knights.

  • Gnat: One gnat sees Alice as an old friend, but Alice doesn't recognize him. He shows Alice the many insects of the Looking-Glass, then sighs away (TTLG).
  • Goat: A goat is one of the passengers in the train. His beard got off and melted after Alice touched it (TTLG).
  • Goose: A goose is part of the party that appears on shore after falling into Alice's pool of tears. Another goose shows up as a juror in the Queen's court (AAIW). Tweedledee and Tweedledum mention they will fight each other for Mother Goose (TTLG).
  • Grouse: A grouse is part of the party that appears on shore after falling into Alice's pool of tears (AAIW).
  • Gryphon: A gryphon takes Alice to his best friend, the Mock Turtle. He used to go with the Mock Turtle to school in the same sea, where they learn many nonsense subjects. They treat her to the Lobster Quadrille and a song known as Turtle Soup, then the Gryphon takes her to a trial (AAIW).
  • Guinea Pig: Two guinea pigs are part of the party that appear on shore after falling into Alice's pool of tears which later they try to get Alice out of the rabbit's house. Two more guinea pigs are members of the jury that get suppressed from the trial after cheering (AAIW).

  • Haddock: In the poem "Haddocks' Eyes", when the White Knight asks the aged man how he lives, the aged man says that he makes buttons out of haddocks' eyes (AAIW).
  • Hare: The March Hare is a guest at the Mad Hatter's tea party along with the Dormouse. He put butter in the pocket watch that tells the day of the month where the Mad Hatter had told him to not put butter in the works with a bread knife since crumbs could have gotten in. He also lives in a house where all the furniture and the clocks are shaped like the head of a hare (AAIW). There is a hare named Haigha who is an Anglo-Saxon messenger and only eats ham-sandwiches and hay (TTLG). In the 2010 movie, the March Hare is paranoid, likes to throw stuff, and knows how to cook. His name is Thackery Earwicket.
  • Hedgehog: Hedgehogs are used as balls at the Queen's croquet ground. They run around before anyone can hit them (AAIW). In the 2010 movie, their feet are tied up so they can't move.
  • Horse: A horse is one of the passengers in the train. The White Knight and Red Knight also ride on horses (TTLG).

  • Jabberwocky: It is a dragon with a whisked fish head, mouse-like teeth, insect-like antennas and talon-like claws. In the poem "Jabberwocky", it tells how a hero went out to slay the Jabberwock with his vorpal sword. The hero kills the Jabberwock and goes home with his head (TTLG).
  • Jellyfish: The Mock Turtle says that before performing a lobster quadrille, you have to clear away all the jellyfish (AAIW).
  • Jubjub Bird: It is a desperate bird that lived in passion (TTLG). It can be found in a narrow, dark, desperate and isolated valley. In the 2010 movie, it is a giant black vulture with red feathers on its wings and head, a yellow beak, and a blue tongue. It was always loyal to the Red Queen.

LEdit

  • Lion: A lion fights a unicorn for the White King's crown where he fights for the Red side as a bishop. He is slow and stupid, yet he is the better fighter as he said he had beat the unicorn three times around the town (TTLG).
  • Lizard: A lizard named Bill helps the White Rabbit by getting Alice out of his house, but gets kicked in the air from Alice's foot out of the chimney yet survives from the other animals. He later appears as a juror in the Queen's court. He writes on his slate too hard making a squeaking sound, so Alice takes his pencil away from him. Not knowing where it went, he writes with his finger even though it doesn't a mark (AAIW).

  • Macaw: A macaw is part of the party that appear on shore after falling into Alice's pool of tears. Another macaw also appears at the Queen's court sitting near the table with tarts (AAIW).

  • Panther: In the second stanza of the poem "Tis the Voice of the Lobster", it tells how a greedy panther eats a whole meat pie when an owl tried to share it. It then took a knife and fork and ate the owl even when the last line wasn't finished (AAIW).
  • Pig: The Duchess's baby turns into a pig when Alice takes it outside of the house (AAIW). Pigs can be seen playing trumpets in a flashback where the Butcher and the Beaver were seen together (THOTS). In the 2010 film, pigs work for the Red Queen such as being foot pillows and holding chairs on their backs, but go against her after the Mad Hatter tells them to fight.

  • Rabbit: The most notable rabbit is the White Rabbit who wears a waistcoat and carries a pocket watch. Alice follows him into the rabbit hole where she falls into Wonderland. The White Rabbit is rich as he mistakes her for her housemaid Mary Anne. He is also a herald to the King and Queen of Hearts (AAIW).
  • Rath: It is a type of green pig, however the original following said that it was a species of land turtle that had its head erect, mouth like a shark, the front[crossed out] fore, legs curved so that it could walk on its knees, smooth green body, and lived on swallows and oysters (TTLG).
  • Raven: There is a riddle when the Mad Hatter asks Alice why is a raven like a writing desk which in the end, he didn't know the answer at all (AAIW).
  • Rocking-Horse-Fly: It is an insect that has the shape of a rocking-horse with spots and insect-like legs connected to branch-like rockers. It is made entirely of wood and gets about by swinging itself from branch to branch. It lives on sap and sawdust (TTLG).

  • Serpent: A pigeon mistakes Alice for a serpent because of her long neck when she ate a piece of a mushroom (AAIW).
  • Shark: In the first stanza of the poem "Tis the Voice of the Lobster", it tells that the lobster will talk in contemptuous tones of the shark when the sands are all dry, but when the tide rises and sharks come, his voice will sound timid (AAIW).
  • Shrimp: When Alice asks the gryphon what boots and shoes in the sea are made in the sea, he says they're made of soles and eels, where he then replies "any shrimp could have told you that" (AAIW).
  • Snap-Dragonfly: It is an insect that has a body made of plum-pudding, its wings of holly-leaves, and its head is a raisin burning in brandy. It lives on frumenty and minced pie, and makes its nest in a christmas box (TTLG). In the 2010 film, they are called dragonflies since they have the head, body, and tail of a dragon.
  • Squirrel: A squirrel is one of the jurors in the Queen's court (AAIW).
  • Swallow: Swallows were the main diet for raths as said in the original following, along with oysters (TTLG).

  • Tortoise: The Mock Turtle mentions there was an old turtle named Tortoise. Alice asks why he was named Tort*oise if he wasn't one in which the Mock Turtle replies "Because Tortoise had 'taught us'", since 'tortoise' sounds like 'taught us' (AAIW).
  • Toucan: A toucan is part of the party that appears on shore after falling into Alice's pool of tears (AAIW).
  • Tove: It is a badger with lizard-like hind legs and a corkscrew-like nose, however the original following said that it was a badger with smooth white hair, long hind legs and short horns like a stag. They make their nests under sundials and lived on cheese (TTLG).
  • Turtle: The Mock Turtle is a turtle with the head, tail, and hind legs of a cow, yet he used to be a real turtle when he was younger. He used to go with his best friend, the gryphon to school in the same sea, where they learn many nonsense subjects. They treat her to a Lobster Quadrille , then he sings a song known as Turtle Soup while with a few sobs. He also informs to Alice that to start off a Lobster Quadrille, you have to form two lines along the seashore which include turtles (AAIW).

  • Unicorn: A unicorn fights a lion for the white king's crown as he's on the white side as a knight. He believes Alice is a fabulous monster the same as Alice thinks unicorns are fabulous monsters too, though he says that he will believe in her if she believe in him (TTLG).

  • Bear: The Baker reminded how he once went a walk, paw-to-paw with a bear just to keep its spirits (THOTS).
  • Boojum: A boojum is a dangerous type of snark that makes anyone disappear when caught (THOTS).
  • Snark: They are described as unimaginable creatures. There are different varieties of snarks. Some having feathers and bite and others having whiskers and scratch. They have a liking for bathing-machines, so they carry them wherever it goes, and the taste of the snark is meager and hollow, but crisp with a flavor of Will-o-the-wisp. It is sometimes served with greens. It also sleeps late into the day.

  • Goldfish: A goldfish can be briefly seen in a fishbowl when Alice is falling down the rabbit hole.

Alice in Wonderland (2010)Edit

  • Bloodhound: There is a bloodhound named Bayard who is forced to work as the Red Queen's tracker after the imprisonment of his wife and pups, but befriends Alice and after his family's freedom thanks to the hatter, he joins the battle against the Red Queen's army.
  • Falcon: Falcons were carrying the chandeliers for the Red Queen.
  • Firefly: A firefly can be seen passing by Mirana at her castle.
  • Giraffe: A bush shaped like a giraffe can be seen when Alice enters Underland.
  • Monkey: White monkeys with black faces (possibly hanuman langurs) serve the Red Queen holding the candles and holding the tables acting as table legs with their tails making heart shapes, but after the Mad Hatter tells them to stand up and fight, they go against her. They ran out of the castle after the release of the Jubjub Bird and escaped.
  • Swan: A bush shaped liked a swan can be seen when Alice enters Underland. A swan-shaped hat can also be seen placed on Iracebeth.
  • Tadpole: The Red Queen informs a fish-footman to go to one of the frog's house and collect his children as she replies "I love tadpoles on toast almost as much as I love caviar".
  • Talking flowers: The Flowers can be seen in mushroom garden.and then they were seeing alice is the wrong one.and then they went hideing from the red knights.
