Jim Carter (born August 19, 1948) is a British actor who voiced the Executioner in Alice in Wonderland (2010).
Early life[]
Carter was born in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. His father worked for the Air Ministry and his mother was a land girl who later became a school secretary. Carter attended Ashville College and later the University of Sussex where he studied law and became a leading light of the Drama Society. He later dropped out of the university to join a fringe theatre group in Brighton.
Career[]
Carter began his professional acting career in the early 1970s. Throughout his career, Carter has appeared in various movies like Shakespeare in Love, Ella Enchanted and The Golden Compass.
He has also had roles in various TV shows like Lipstick on Your Collar, The Way We Live Now, The Singing Detective, Red Riding and A Very British Coup, Cranford and Dinotopia.
