“The rabbit hole went straight on like a tunnel for some way, and then dipped suddenly down, so suddenly that Alice had not a moment to think about stopping herself before she found herself falling down a very deep well.”

The Rabbit Hole is the deep tunnel that Alice uses to get to Wonderland.

Description[]

In the tunnel there are many objects and things, and the walls are filled with books and jars. It resembles a tall and thin house. In the 1999 and the 2010 film the objects in the tunnel appear to be floating, and in the bottom of the tunnel there is an armchair full of dry leaves. The tunnel itself leads to the Hall of Doors. In the 1988 movie, the Rabbit hole was a shelf with a bus of the Rabbit himself. While Alice is falling, she catches a book about horses. horses are my favorite!" she says and turns to the first page, but when there is nothing on the pages, she puts it back on a shelf, and lands in the Hall of Doors after that.

Locations[]

There is a rabbit hole close to the riverbank near Alice's House and another nearby Ascot Manor.
